About the Role

Responsible for creating recipes, preparing baked goods, pizza dough, cookies, bread and cakes.

Requirements

  • Responsible for ordering ingredients and coordinating baking schedules to produce breads, cakes, pastries, pies, cookies and other goods.

  • Prepares and produces all breakfast pastries, and breads for restaurants and/or banquets.

  • Ensures compliance with all hotel policies and procedures that relate to food and beverage, as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

  • Ensures proper receiving, storage (including temperature settings) and rotation of food products so as to comply with the Department of Health.

  • Keeps adequate supply of all prepared products on hand.

  • Keeps records relating to deliveries, inventory, and production levels.

  • Daily cleaning of walk-in and reach-in boxes to ensure safety.

  • Adhere to control procedures for cost and quality.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification

  • 2 year Culinary College preferred

Experience

  • A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role

  • Knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking methods

  • Prior experience in Italian cuisine preferred

License/Certificates

  • Food Handler’s certification
